About The Still Stage

The Still Stage is a music club for attentive listening. Here songs are not gathered as background, but arranged into evenings: with a beginning, inner movement, and an ending.

What it is

It is not a streaming service and not another collection of recommendations. The Still Stage is an editorial format: music issues where songs are connected by meaning, sequence, and state of mind.

Each issue can be experienced as an evening. You do not simply turn on music; you enter a composed route: listen to the tracks in order, read short author notes, and gradually move through the issue's shared mood.

Why this is not just a playlist

A playlist can be played in the background. There is nothing wrong with that. But here music returns to the center of attention.

An issue works differently: the first song sets the tone, the next changes the inner lens, then tension appears, a pause, a turn, a way out. The order matters. The texts matter. The silence between songs matters too.

More: why this is not a playlist

How an issue is arranged

Songs follow a deliberate order

Not as a random selection, but as a route.

Each track has an author note

Not an academic analysis, but a guide into the song's state.

The listener chooses the platform

The issue helps you move through the evening, while listening can happen on supported music services.

How to listen to a music issue

Who is behind the project

My name is Dmitry Vaneev. I make The Still Stage as an editorial music club, from a personal need to listen more attentively and share not just tracks, but composed musical evenings.

What matters to me is not the speed of recommendations or an endless stream of new releases, but the moment when a song truly takes up space: in a room, in memory, in a person.

StillStage by DoMiSoul

The Still Stage is part of DoMiSoul, a project about an attentive relationship with music, sound, and home listening.

DoMiSoul brings together several directions: the music club, editorial issues, audio equipment, home-system setup, and everything that helps music sound not by accident, but with intention.

Where to start

The simplest way to understand the project is to go through the first issue. Do not read the description for too long: set aside an evening, open The Circle of Time, and try listening to music as a route.
